Greater Paris: Gauthey and Roland clean up
As part of the development work for the future Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Village, in the ZAC of the river eco-district in L'Île-Saint-Denis, the SEM Plaine Commune Développement has entrusted Eiffage Génie Civil with the clean-up and disposal of the soil.
After five months of work, the Gauthey and Roland teams managed the polluted spoil, in particular by setting up a loading dock for the evacuation of some 43,000 tonnes of materials by river.
This method of transport and the recycling of the spoil reduced the environmental impact of the project. By giving priority to river transport, this operation is fully in line with the Group's commitment to reduce its carbon footprint.
Congratulations to all the teams involved in this very fine operation!
