A new bridge spans the Seine between Saint-Denis and Île-Saint-Denis, an operation led by Eiffage Génie Civil
A new bridge now spans the Seine between Saint-Denis and Ile-Saint-Denis! Built in Lauterbourg and Arendonk (Iemants), assembled in Gennevilliers and transported by barge along the Seine to Saint-Denis, the new structure will link the Athletes Village during the Paris Games.
This combined structure, 140 m long and 20 m wide, called on many of the Group’s expertise. Led by the Paris-based teams of Eiffage Génie Civil, the consortium is made up of Eiffage Métal for the metal frame, ETMF for the specific works in the Seine, Eiffage Fondations for the realization of the deep foundations, Ævia for the prestressing, AER for the exploitation near the site and Eiffage Énergie Systèmes for lighting.
The operation was carried out successfully in the presence of Jacques Witkowski, Prefect of Seine-Saint-Denis, Vincent Lagoguey, Sub-Prefect, Stéphane Troussel, President of the Departmental Council of Seine-Saint-Denis, Mohamed Gnabaly, Mayor of Ile-Saint-Denis, Pascal Pelain, Councillor Delegate of the Metropolis of Greater Paris and Mayor of Villeneuve-la-Garenne, Edouard Bedel, Director of Roads and Travel at CD93, Isabelle Vallentin, Deputy Director General of the Société de Livraison des Obuvrages Olympiques – SOLIDEO, Laurent Michaud, Deputy Director Villages at Paris2024 and Gildas Maguer, Director General of the Plain Common Development.
