Eiffage Génie Civil installed the protective sheaths for the electricity export cables on Juno Beach in Bernières-sur-Mer (14)
We’re heading for the Normandy coast! On the foreshore of Juno Beach in Bernières-sur-Mer, in Calvados (14), our ETMF teams have finalized the installation of protective sheaths as part of the landing of the 2 x 225 kV power export cables of the Calvados offshore wind farm (EODC).
The installation of these sheaths, made of HDPE* D630 2 x 750 m long, required specific equipment and a highly technical team on this site subject to the vagaries of maritime weather and tides.
Business to follow. . . this project will consist of 64 offshore wind turbines with a capacity of approximately 450 MW
Thanks to our client Prysmian Power Link for their trust and RTE Réseau de Transport d’Electricité, which is in charge of connecting the park.
