In Côte d'Ivoire, Eiffage Génie Civil installs two penstocks on the Singrobo-Ahouaty dam
The operations around the Singrobo-Ahouaty hydroelectric project are continuing with the installation of the two penstocks ! Built by our partner STPH - HWP Group, they have impressive dimensions: 24 m long, 6 m in diameter with a total weight of 60 tons each !
The aim of this delicate operation, given the size of the equipment handled and its environment, was to lay and align the penstocks with the two restitution suction pumps located 30 metres downstream and already installed by our other partner GE.
This 1,400 m long hydroelectric scheme, connected to the interconnected grid, will help increase the share of hydroelectric production in Côte d'Ivoire's energy mix.
The project is being carried out by Eiffage Energie Systèmes on behalf of Ivoire Hydro Energy.
Congratulations to the teams for their work !
Relive the laying of the two penstocks in video !
