Focus on the construction of Toulouse Metro Line C, an emblematic project that is transforming the urban mobility of the metropolis.
The excavation of the tunnels, the very backbone of the project, would be nothing without rigorous civil engineering work in the stations: a sequence of essential technical phases before, during and after the tunnel boring machines (TBM) excavation.
Focus on the Colomiers Gare station
While the Jeanne Marvig TBM has just left the station, civil engineering is in full swing! The objective is to prepare the ground for the arrival of the rubber-tired trains (RTP).
The teams are carrying out:
* backfilling work to guarantee a stable surface
* wall and backfilling work under the platforms
* erection of posts, stairwells and elevator shafts
* and various slabs
Focus on stations in anticipation
In the Sept Deniers-Stade Toulousain, Blagnac Jean Maga and Fondeyre stations, the teams are getting ahead while waiting for the TBM to pass. In fact, some civil engineering structures such as posts and intermediate slabs have already been completed, to optimize the overall project schedule.
A demonstration of the agility and expertise of the teams involved.
Congratulations to all!
