Eiffage Génie Civil is proud to have participated in the inauguration of the northern bypass of Valenciennes (59), a major infrastructure that transforms the daily lives of residents and boosts the region!
This Monday, November 24, 2025, we had the honor of celebrating this event alongside key figures: Christian Poiret, President of the Nord Department, Valentin Belleval, Vice-President of the Nord Department – Roads and Infrastructure, and Laurent Degallaix, President of Valenciennes Métropole, Departmental Councillor for the Canton of Valenciennes and Mayor of the City of Valenciennes.
Our teams met significant technical challenges, demonstrating our unique expertise:
Creation of a covered trench between Raismes and Beuvrages;
Execution of earthworks, civil engineering structures, sanitation, and road construction spanning the Lille – Valenciennes SNCF railway lines.
This ambitious project, extending from Raismes to Bruay-sur-l’Escaut, now offers a continuous East-West link. It decongests existing routes, smooths traffic flow, and directly connects key areas such as Beuvrages, Bruay-sur-l’Escaut, and Anzin.
The impact is considerable: the Raismes – Saint-Saulve journey time is reduced from 40 minutes to just 15 minutes during peak hours!
This is a real step forward for the quality of life of users and the economic attractiveness of the region.
A big congratulations to all our teams and partners for this collective success!
