In Billy-Berclau (62), Eiffage Génie Civil inaugurates France's first gigafactory
On Tuesday 30 May 2023, in Billy-Berclau, in the Hauts-de-France region, after a year's work, Eiffage Génie Civil teams were very proud to take part in the inauguration of the French gigafactory for electric batteries built for ACC - Automotive Cells Company, in the presence of Bruno Le Maire, Agnès Pannier-Runacher and Roland Lescure, among others.
It's impossible not to mention the dimensions of this building, which lives up to its name: with 61,000 m² of workshop space, it is 644 m long and 100 m wide! Not to mention the 20 surrounding buildings and ancillary structures, also built by our teams.
This project, which marks a turning point in the reindustrialisation of France and contributes to the ecological transition, was carried out in synergy with the other Eiffage Group business lines: Eiffage Énergie Systèmes - Eiffage Route - Eiffage Métal and 3 other partners, MORETTI Constructions, BEMACO and Exyte.
Thank you to ACC - Automotive Cells Company for your confidence!
