In Bobigny on Monday, May 11, in the presence of Stéphane Troussel, Laurent Simplicien, Abdel Sadi, Stephen Hervé, Jean-François Monteils, and Guillaume Sauvé, the name of the first tunnel boring machine was unveiled. It is named after its sponsor, Rita Ayoub, a design engineer on the COREA project at Eiffage Génie Civil.

The route of the future Seine-North Europe Canal crosses the national rail network in two locations. This requires renovations of the Paris – Saint‑Quentin and Amiens – Laon rail lines with the creation of overhead railway bridges before the canal is filled. SNCF Réseau has announced that the contract to build overhead crossing structures on the Amiens – Laon line has been awarded to Eiffage, one of Europe’s leading construction, property development, energy services and concessions companies. This contract is worth more than €70 million over three years and a half year.
