In the Pyrenees, Ævia refurbished the Izourt dam
Ævia refurbishes the Izourt dam in the PyreneesAt an altitude of 1,645 m, our Aevia teams were involved in refurbishing the waterproofing of the Izourt dam, located in the Ariège department (09).

For 5 months, our teams covered the 3,500 m² of the upstream facing of the structure with a Carpi Tech geomembrane*. Beforehand, this wall had been trimmed** and levelled by spraying a dry concrete strip by AGTP teams.
At the same time, the temporary 600 mm-diameter bypass pipe was lined with 75 m of GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) using sub-tubing*** by Telerep.
In this mountainous natural environment, 150 hours of heli-lift by Hélicoptères de France were required to transport the equipment and carry out the work.
Congratulations to our 35 employees involved in this remarkable project, which is at the very heart of Aevia's DNA: sustainable heritage maintenance!
Thank you to EDF CIH for their confidence!
